Blackstone Public Library’s Lego Club. Signups begin on Monday, January 5 for Blackstone residents. Signups begin on Monday, January 12 for all library patrons. Held once a month on Thursday evenings at 6 PM. Strictly for ages six and up. Builders are given a monthly challenge with a general theme, i.e., you may be asked to build animals, buildings, vehicles, clothing or even food! Space is limited to twenty participants. Blackstone Public Library Children’s Programs - Spring 2026. 1. Story Time and Craft for ages 3 to 5 years. Group 1: Mondays at 11 a.m. April 6, 23, 27, May 4, 11, 18. Group 2: Thursdays at 1 p.m. April 9, 16, 30, May 7, 14, 21. This program lasts six weeks and includes two stories and a simple craft. Each group accepts up to 15 children. Registration is required. See below for sign-up information. 2. Drop-In Story Time Every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. 30 minutes of stories; appropriate for all ages. No sign-ups are required, just drop in! 3. Toddler Story Time, ages 6 months to 3 years. Fridays at 10:15 a.m. April 10, 17, May 1, 8, 15, 22. This six-week program includes stories, songs, fingerplays, activities and more. We’ll also play with books and toys. Registration is required. See below for sign-up information. Digging Dinos with Diane Edgecomb For kids ages 3 and up. Thursday, February 19, at 2:00 PM. Award-winning storyteller Diane Edgecomb’s popular dinosaur adventures complement their scientific facts with a happy dose of humor. The original stories include: Pattysaurus in which selfish Patty becomes so obsessed with her dinosaur collection that she turns into a gigantic sauropod herself and Egg Mountain in which the audience helps out on this surprise-filled journey that leads to the discovery of Maiasaura, the first dinosaur known to care for its young. Based on current scientific discoveries, this piece educates as it entertains. Dinosaur lovers of all ages will enjoy the colorful posters, dinosaur sign-language and audience participation that keeps audiences engaged and asking for MOOORE! Registration is required. YMCA Family & Community Partnership (YFCP). Pre-K Music & Movement, with Deb Hudgins. The YFCP is pleased to offer a free music series with local children's musician, Deb Hudgins. Children, ages 1-5, with a parent or caregiver, will enjoy songs, dance, silly stories, musical instruments and more! Registration is required. Day & Time: Fridays at 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
