Blackstone Public Library’s July Afternoon Book Club is reading "The Hazlebourne Ladies Motorcycle & Flying Club" a novel by Helen Simonson. Come enjoy a cup of tea with us! July meeting date: Tuesday 7/29/2025 at 3:00 PM in Quiet Study 1. For more information call 508-883-1931 and ask for Donna Foster, or email dfoster@cwmars.org. Image description: The cover image is an illustration of a seaside landscape. A hilly coastline is visible in the near distance with the faded tops of mountains further on the horizon. The foreground of the image features a grassy clifftop with two women on a motorcycle and side car seen from behind. The woman driving wears a green coat and red trousers, and the woman in the side car wears a bright blue jacket. They are both wearing helmets. The title of the book, "The Hazelbourne Ladies Motorcycle and Flying Club" is written across the softly-clouded sky in a loopy handwriting style, with the text semi-opaque as though painted there. A small red airplane flies across the scene, pulling a sky sign with the text, "A novel." The author's name, Helen Simonson, is written in white text at the bottom of the cover; and below that, in yellow text, reads, "'New York Times' bestselling author of 'Major Pettigrew's Last Stand.'"
